Life reflexology offers pop up clinics in a variety of settings.
In a business setting each company chooses its own level of involvement. In some businesses, each employee is fully responsible for the cost of their own treatments. Other companies choose to subsidise the treatments for their staff. Whatever works for you. If your business is interested in providing a reflexology service for its staff, I will be happy to offer a free consultation to discuss your organisation’s needs.
Whatever the size of your business, it makes sense to look after your biggest asset – your employees. A fit and healthy workforce is key to an organisation’s performance, and each year millions of working days are lost to stress-related illnesses. With 70% of HR professionals feeling that stress is a problem in their organisation (HSE, 2007) it is estimated that the cost of sickness and absence in the UK is around £12 billion a year.
Effects of stress in the workplace
- Cost of sickness and absence
- Low morale
- Tiredness and irritability
- Reduced physical performance
- Lowered immune system, leading to the development of more physical illnesses
- Reduced creativity and productivity
How can reflexology work for your company?
By introducing reflexology into the workplace, it gives staff an opportunity to experience a holistic therapy which may reduce stress, boost effectiveness and improve general wellbeing. Each company chooses its own level of involvement. In some businesses, each employee is fully responsible for the cost of their own treatments. Other companies chose to subsidise the treatments for their staff. Whatever works for your company.
Wellbeing Days can be booked by businesses to be held at regular intervals. We recommend that each reflexology session lasts for 20 to 30 mins in order for your staff to gain maximum benefit without becoming too deeply relaxed to be able to go back to work. Staff should feel calmer and refreshed with improved concentration levels, ready to go back to work with minimal disruption to the working day.
